Who we are - Giovanni and Sunflower Tours

Our main office is located in the old market square of Greve in Chianti, an enchanting village right in the heart of Tuscany. Nowadays Greve is considered the capital of the Chianti region, the land of the famous Chianti Classico red wine.

Giovanni Sirabella founded the company there, after travelling all over the world many years on a cruise ship. He was Purser of the famous “Achille Lauro”, hijacked in 1985 by Palestinian terrorists, and of the “Italia Prima”, one of the few 5 stars cruise ships in Italy.

In 1998, he decided he had seen enough of the ocean and his dream was to move to one of the most beautiful countrysides in the world. After years of escorting about 500 passengers on tours his wish was to do exclusive tours for very small groups of people.

Today he is a very happy man, enjoying the “slow life” of the countryside and most of the time personally driving his clients around with the result that they often become good friends.
